What is CAT?

CAT is a computer based exam which is conducted every year. It is an entrance exam for MBA aspirants which are regulated by Indian institute of management.

What are the Eligibility criteria to appear in CAT Exam?

  • Aspirants should have obtained graduation degree from any recognized college or institute.

  • He/she must have gained atleast 50% in their graduation.

  • Reserved category student must have atleast 45% in graduation.

  • Final year student in their bachelor’s can also apply for CAT exams.

Registration process-

  • First, create a profile as mentioned on the website.

  • Sign in with user ID and password.

  • Fill all the relevant details and submit carefully.

  • Finally make exam fees payment which is Rs. 2000 for general category and Rs. 1000 for reserved category.

Subsequent to your exams, IIM releases the list of shortlisted candidates and those shortlisted students are called for their second level of selection. Selection procedure includes a Written Ability Test (WAT) and a Personal Interview (PI). Performance in CAT Exam is exceptionally relevant factor for the selection in IIM.
